Playtime and Bathtime !!

Well the pups have been with us for a month now...doesn't time fly. They are really doing well, cheeky, happy boys and full of mischief. Well what do you expect of boys !!! So far this week Tarn has got his tail stuck in the cat flap and cried like a baby, the smallest pup Pip was pulling the largest pup Brock along the kitchen floor by his ear !! when I opened the fridge 6 little mouths got in there first and pulled out the vegetables!! they chomped on my shoelaces and pulled them undone so that when I moved I stood on the laces and went flying........BUT I was carrying a tray with their food in 6 dishes, these went everywhere and the food just ended up in a big heap on the floor where they delved in and ate every scrap, cleaning the floor as they did so.
Yes fun and games, my husband is wondering whether normality will ever be restored. Ha ha.
They love playing in the garden and digging holes and rolling in the earth is their favourite game, consequently they get a bit smelly so it was bath time today. They were all very good and still fit nicely into the sink. I put a few covers onto the floor for them to play in and dry off. They were all lovely clean and fluffy for a while...but it won't last as boys will be boys!!!

Hardy has a new home.

The second best Collie that I have ever met has just left the building (our Indy being the best). Hardy has gone to a home with 3 other Collies (and 2 people) so I am sure that he is in for a good life.

What shall we do on a rainy day ??

It has been very here today which has meant pups confined to kitchen and utility room. They have got a large cardboard box which they spend hours playing in. After a while it went quiet so I assumed they were having a nap....WRONG !! I walked into the kitchen to find a line of 5 puppies chomping on my kitchen cupboards and Auntie Bobbie with them showing them the best way to do it. The look of surprise on Bobbies face was a picture.
Meanwhile the missing pup, Billy Boy was running around outside in the rain and was facinated by the worms which had been activated by the rain. Initially he was just busy sniffing them but then decided that he really ought to sample one, yuk,.......I declined his kisses xxxx

Hardy is like one of the family.

Hardy update.

Hardy is continuing to be great, life around the house is easy, with all of the boys getting on as though they were brothers. We have spent some more time walking along busy roads and although Hardy adopts his herding pose he rarely reacts to any cars and when he does react he does an air bite in the general direction of the car but doesn't move towards it.

When we are at the fields Hardy is very relaxed and sniffs and snuffles around just like our boys with just the occasional circuit around us to make sure that we are all there. blinking
Hardy gets excited when he knows it is time for a walk and he dances around and chatters, this is something that several of our foster dogs have done? I think they learn it from Indy as he gets very excited when it is walk time. (Collies are bonkers).
Hardy has walked with just about all of the Wiccs dogs and he has been great with all of them, he has pecked at 2 dogs he has met in the yard but we figured out that it is when they spend too long face to face with him? I now shift him round after a few seconds so they can sniff each others back ends and he hasn't pecked since.
(my fault for not watching his body language) Smack

Hardy is Luca's new cushion.

No room for Ju's legs near the sofa!

I shall do another update after the weekend walking at Wiccaweys. wave

Couldn't resist more pics of these little horrors !! oops I really mean Little Angels !! Actually they are lovely pups, growing fast, playful, affectionate and wonderful entertainment........we haven't watched the TV for ages, and as for housework....well I'm just too busy playing so the first pic sums up the whole of my house.
The second pic was taken this afternoon following a mad session of racey chasey games around the garden and house.................peace at last!!!

Monday Madness

Thought it was time to introduce the boys to a collar and lead !! as you can see they thought it was great fun and enjoyed getting themselves, Auntie Bobbie and myself tied up in knots. Walking them could prove an interesting experience.
Yesterday whilst we were all in the garden I heard a horrendous noise, a wailing banshee sprung to mind. I noticed that the pups were scattering in all directions, tails between their legs !! Then I saw or rather heard " Billy Boy", he had knocked over my plastic watering can and walked inside it.......getting himself firmly stuck and was being quite vocal about it. Ha Ha.
This morning I was in the garden tidying up after them and trying to speak to Paul+Sarah on my mobile, they wondered what was happening as I kept squealing..........the pups were nipping my bare legs and they have razor sharp teeth!!!!! Mind you you should see the state of them, it is raining here and Bobbie has dug a big hole in the lawn which the pups have been playing and rolling in the freshly dug earth. Just imagine wet pups + fresh earth = mucky pups !!
Puppies...who'd have them !!!! Just think what fun any new owners are going to have.....
perhaps I should only tell the good things about them.!

Fun and Games !! part 2of blog

Well computer playing up again and has somehow published 4 pics without me asking it too and has missed one off !!!!! hence todays blog in two parts , computers !!
Anyway the boys continue to do well and are very happy, we on the other hand are slightly frazzled !! You should see the state of the garden.........Silverstone circuit has nothing on my garden circuit created by 6 boisterous boys bulldozing their way through my flower beds.
Today they discovered a new game..a couple of racey chasey circuits around the garden then in through the catflap followed by a couple of circuits around the kitchen, back out of the catflap and round the garden again !!!!! I'm exhausted just watching them. Oh to be young and carefree. Don't you just love them.
Its really funny when they are in the house as we need eyes everywhere and they run around in different directions like clockwork toys..............someone remind me why I brought these little horrors, I mean "good" boys home. !!!

HERE COME THE BOYS !!!! one week later

The pups are doing well, playing, eating, poohing and sleeping.then the cycle starts again !! They all seem very happy boys and love romping around in the garden. " Auntie Bobbie" is showing them the ropes when it comes to helping in the garden which means digging holes, pruning the plants and running around with flowerpots.
I'll let the pictures do the talking !
