Update to "return of the Mack"

After all I said about not letting Mack get excited, I took Mack, Luca and Indy to the park this evening and gave Mack a toy to play with! The park was full of kids on bikes or playing football or just running around! Mack was an angel, he got excited once and jumped up mouthing at thin air until I turned my back and then he calmed down instantly. We spent an hour going around the whole park with either me throwing his toy or Mack carrying his toy and playing toy swap with Indy. The best bit was when we got back to the carpark, a women with 2 boys came from behind the van and the boys were kicking a football!! Mack goes mad at footballs, only he didn't? he brought me his toy, sat and when I threw the toy he bounced off to fetch it. Mack was exhausted when we got home and went to "his bush" and curled up under it and slept until dinner time.

Return of the Mack.

Mack has returned through no fault of his own. Mack needs to feel that he can trust his people or he tries to take control and he is not very good at being in charge!
It took a few days for Mack to unwind again but he now appears to be back to his old self. Mack has continued to improve in his relationship with traffic, he rarely lunges at cars and if one does excite him he will sit facing us and look up waiting for his treat. :-)
Mack really benefits from having a calm dog as a companion (we have 2). At home he is so relaxed and happy.
Mack needs a patient calm person to give him confidence. He responds to positive methods of training and gentle encouragement, getting him excited stresses him. Mack is generally an easy going, loving and well behaved boy who just needs the right person to give him the happy life that he deserves.

Just Jemmima !

This is the remaining "chunkie" monkey pup. A stunning girl called Jemmima. If you want your peaceful life shattered and peace broken then she's your girl !! She is one busy, busy, bossy full on girl who no one messes with. She stands no nonsense from anything or anyone, but she does have a soft side and gives lovely kisses and cuddles , however these are usually on her terms. We love her already!!

Tea anyone ?

These three remaining "spotties" are absolutely gorgeous pups, they are everything a pup should be, cute, adorable, playful, mischievious, funny, lovable, cuddley...the list is endless. They all enjoy being close to us and want to be able to share in everything we do. We sat outside enjoying a cup of tea and these pups wanted to be close.....as well as eat the biscuites !!
The first pic shows all three, then there is "norty girl" NELLIE who is a very busy girl, always looking for something to do and generally is the ringleader. She has a lovely temperament and loves playing with the "big" dogs and the neighbours kids. Then there is "jumbo" JAMIE, a simply gentle beautiful boy who would happily snuggle up on your lap all day. He is brilliant with next doors kids and just wants to lay across them and lap up all the fuss. Finally "fiesty" FLORA, this pretty girl may be small in size but she has a huge personality. She wants to be in the thick of things and certainly being deaf doesn't stop her. She is a busy little bee but gives me so much love I could burst. She is wonderful, infact they all are, BUT as much as I love them I cannot keep them for ever and would be so happy to see them adopted and leave me for their forever homes. They are at such an interesting and entertaining stage which can never be replaced and folk are missing out on enjoying and being with these gorgeous "spottie" pups. Fngers crossed that they will be leaving me in the next few weeks.

Cheerio Chunkies

It has been a good weekend for the "chunkie" pups in that these three beauties have been adopted. Well done pups, hope you have lots and lots offun in your new homes. It only seems five minutes since you came to stay and in fact your little paws barely touched the ground before you were off. I'm so pleased for you all. I'll take good care of your remaining sister until she finds her forever home.

Its raining PUPPIES !!

When I went to Wiccs with Bonnie it was raining heavily and then it began to rain "puppies", honestly where are they all coming from !! Somehow I went to Wiccs with 4 pups, Bonnie was adopted which left me with 3 pups BUT when I got home I found that I had got 7 pups with me !! Now I know that maths is not my strong point but this definitely doesn't add up.
So I've got my 3 "spotty" pups and also 4 "chunkies". All of them are simply gorgeous and are getting on fine, as you can see from the pics there is now more helpers with the dishes, Bobbie thinks its great fun and almost has enough for a football team and then they all crash out together in a big black and white mess!
At the moment it is a bit like having the "spotties" in one corner and the "chunkies" in the other. The "spotties" are on the go all the time, always watching whats going on, happy to go out in the rain and get muddy on the garden whereas the " chunkies" are not keen to go out, definitely do not like to get wet and certainly "don't do mud" ! In fact we have nicknamed them the "posh" collies as they like to keep themselves clean and dry and are not even keen to eat off the same plate as the "spotties". However they are all lovely in their own way.

"FEISTY" FLORA

This pretty little girl is Flora, she is the smallest of the pups but that doesn't stop her from being in the thick of the action. She is such a happy liitle girl and her tail never stops wagging. She loves playing with her siblings and generally just doing what puppies do. The only time that I notice that Flora is different from her brother and sisters is when she remains asleep and doesn't come and greet me like the rest.......this is because Flora is deaf. Of course Flora doesn't realise that she is deaf and as far as she is concerned that is normal. It certainly doesn't stop her, in fact Flora is totally fearless and just muscles in. Being deaf does have its advantages as in the picture Flora is outside looking into the lounge. What you cannot see on the picture is Bazra in the lounge being grumpy and showing his teeth. I could imagine Flora thinking " that's a lovely big smile you have there ! " She was oblivious to his growls !! She is a poppet.

" JUMBO" JAMIE

This is the lovely Jamie or as we affectionately call him "Jumbo" Jamie as he is a big lad but just trundles along very happily. He actually is very quiet and extremely gentle, its funny how these bigger pups tend to be so gentle and loving. He loves playing with his siblings but at least I know that he can't squeeze through anywhere or climb over the stairgate !! A gorgeous gentle boy.

BEAUTIFUL BONNIE

This stunner is Beautiful BONNIE. She is really slinky with lovely long legs which seem to go on for ever !! which of course makes her an expert climber, stairgates being her speciality!!. Bonnie is a bit of a thinker and whilst the other pups are wreaking havoc she sits apart and watches, clearing weighing things up.....then she joins in. She is just lovely.

NORTY NELLIE !

This is NORTY NELLIE, just look at this angelic face and all those norty spots!! Nellie is a very happy busy girl and so affectionate. She is always into mischief, and then just looks at me with those eyes as if to say "me?".

We have a new Dishwasher !!!

Who needs a dishwasher with these three!!!! They have already worked out that it is worth their while getting a crafty lick of the plates etc as I am trying to stack the dishwasher. Strangley enough they show no interest when I'm unloading it. Smart or what ? oh yes they are smart and they work together brilliantly as a team and we've got no chance against them.!! Ha ha. These pups just ooze trouble and mischief and we love every minute of it. There's never a dull moment in our house.

The wonderful Mack

Those of you who are regular visitors to HQ will know that we have been fostering the lovely Mack for 3 1/2 weeks. Today, Mack found his forever family. partytime

He is a great dog, brilliant in the house, brilliant with other dogs & has been making real progress with coping with traffic clapping He is such a star. Our boys will really miss him, as they would all lay together, all play together (even Indy!) and even lay in a huddle eating their chews Grin I can honestly say that there hasn't been even a hint of a grumble from any of them since Mack came to stay with us. doggysmitten

We will miss this lovely boy, he has been a joy to have around and it has been such a privilege to see him grow day by day. angel

He has gone to live in an environment where he won't have to worry about cars bloody brilliant Have a lovely life Mack-a-doodle with your new brothers Biggles & Robbie & your new mum & dad partytime Big hugs & scruffles smitten

Julia, Mick, Indy & Luca

Unfortunately Mack has returned as his new family felt they couldn't cope with his needs? I will do a proper update once he has settled in again.

Cute or what !!

Well these 3 pups are doing well and seem to be having a great time ! They are very contented and will play happily all day together. They seem to be expert climbers and have worked out the best way of "scaling" over the stairgate. They love to be in the thick of things and are never far away from your side.....which means they are always under our feet!! We need eyes everywhere and by the end of the day we feel as if we have run a marathon chasing around after them.!!
NELLIE is the spottiest pup. Infact she is covered in "norty" spots so this means trouble!! She is just so friendly and loving and has a fantastic nature.
CHARLIE is a darling! again very affectionate and very fast on his legs. Infact him and Nellie make a formidable pair and sometimes they seem as if they are joined at the hip !
BONNIE is a little bit more reserved and likes to ponder or think things through. She sometimes seems quiet but thats usually because she is planning her next move !!
LOVELY, LOVELY PUPPIES STAYING WITH US UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR FOREVER HOMES, HOWEVER LONG THAT MAY TAKE
Just means that we get the chance to have lots of special puppy cuddles and games

Three New Arrivals !

Let me introduce my three gorgeous new arrivals. Firstly a very spotty girl called NELLIE, her brother CHARLIE and sister BONNIE.
These pups are already keeping us on our toes, they are so different to "my boys". They are always into mischief, you need eyes everywhere and are expert climbers , infact I beginning to think that I've brought three monkeys home rather than puppies!! I think we have challenging times and fun times ahead. They are eating well, infact Bonnie loves her food so much that she led a raid on the dishwasher whilst I was loading it...all the plates were licked clean and she is in the fridge before I've got the door open!!!

Bye Bye BROCK

WELL DONE BROCK ON ADOPTING YOUR NEW FAMILY, SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO BE SPOILT AND HAVE LOTS OF GAMES WITH YOUR NEW COLLIE SISTER FLICK.
It was with very mixed emotions that I waved Brock off with his new family. We both had a very soft spot for this gentle boy and he had wormed his way into our hearts. Brock was also the final pup out of the litter to be adopted, so for us the end of our first experience of fostering puppies.
Would we do it again ? the answer is an emphatic "YES". It may have been chaos here at times and we never seem to have a tidy house, but the fun, love and the sheer privilege of watching each of their unique characters develop and be part of it makes it all worthwhile and is reward enough.
GOOD LUCK BOYS, WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU, ENJOY LIFE TO THE FULL
Love Eleanor and Neil xx

I'm all alone !!.....

Hello its BROCK here although I feel a bit like "Brock no mates" !! as all my brothers have gone off with their new families leaving me here all alone.
Don't get me wrong I do love it here with my foster mum and dad as they play games with me, give me lots of cuddles and love BUT I REALLY WANT A FAMILY OF MY OWN.
F/mum says thats she been saving the best till last !! Anyway I thought that I'd tel you what I'm like............................SIMPLY GORGEOUS, ha ha !!
I'm "Mr Reliable". I'm a very steady sort of guy, not your racey chasey into everything, I like to ponder and think things through. F/mum calls me her "gentle giant" as she says I've got big feet but an even bigger heart. Sometimes when I meet new people I can be shy but its only because I'm sussing them out and then I like to smother them in kissses. Mum says I'm a wonderful kisser and give the best cuddles she's had for a long time. I do like to play and have just started going out for short walks which are brill.
Could you be my forever family ? Love Brock xxxxxxxx

GOOD LUCK TARN IN YOUR NEW HOME. Tarn left today in the company of his two new collie brothers Tweed and Harry, hope you have lots and lots of fun in your new home. Tarn was the most " Laid Back " of the pups, infact he was almost horizontal !!! he loved his bed and would cry to go back to bed and he was always first to settle at night time. WELL DONE TARN

Half way there !!

GOOD LUCK PIPIT IN YOU NEW HOME
Little Pipit has left today with his new mum and dad a collie brother Jack. Lots of fun times ahead for all. He may be small but he has a mean punch !! one of his favourite games was to literally run up behind his unsuspecting bigger brothers and knock them clean over, rather like watching a bowling alley !!
Be a good boy Pipit and have fun with Jack, you were a pleasure to have around.
Love you Eleanor xxxx

WELL DONE FLINT, BE A GOOD BOY AND ENJOY YOURSELF PLAYING AND BEING CUDDLED BY YOUR NEW HUMAN SISTERS !!
